Sarvam AI is headquartered in Bangalore, and in February 2026 it released Sarvam 30B and Sarvam 105B, India's first homegrown foundation models trained entirely on IndiaAI Mission compute. That's a genuine marker of what this city's AI engineering culture is capable of, not a national infrastructure story happening somewhere else. Bangalore's broader AI density, from IISc's research base to Microsoft Research India, Google, and Amazon's local AI labs, alongside a thick layer of GenAI startups around Koramangala and Indiranagar, means the AI work reaching us here spans applied enterprise systems, consumer-facing generative features, and internal research tooling, often within the same week.
The same city that produces this density of AI talent also loses it fast. Attrition is the single biggest operational risk Bangalore product teams describe to us, and for an AI project specifically, a departing engineer can take undocumented knowledge of a model's training decisions with them. We staff for continuity: the same senior engineer from discovery through launch, documentation written as we go rather than reconstructed after someone leaves.
Akoode builds in-house with no subcontracting, and we bring DPDP compliance into the model architecture from day one, since the Rules apply in full from May 2027. We invoice in rupees with GST, and our Gurugram-based senior engineers travel to Bangalore for discovery workshops when an in-person session will settle more than another video call.
